My goal in business is to help my clients make more money by providing them with usable strategies and techniques they can use to grow and improve their businesses. I have learned that many companies cannot afford to hire the full-time services of a financial manager, senior accountant or controller. While this is prudent management, the offset is often weak cost controls, late and inaccurate financial reports and cash flow problems.

 

An integral part of my business is company “tune-ups”. I offer management and financial reviews for contractors who may be concerned about some aspect of their business, usually unanticipated losses, poor financial results or unreliable reports. In short, I assist by performing an arms-length, unbiased review of your company. With many, many years of financial experience, I am very well positioned to review your financial records and reporting systems.

You can expect a comprehensive report focused on your problems and concerns beginning with problem identification and ending with recommendations for improvement.

  • Financial reporting – financial statements, cost reports, accounts receivables, cash flow

  • Overhead costs in relation to gross profit – the Gross Profit Factor calculations

  • Purchasing policy – use of PO’s, lump sum purchases, negotiations and discounts

  • Billing and collection procedures – timeliness and aggressiveness

  • Internal control procedures particularly regarding safeguarding assets

  • Submit and discuss a detailed report to management with emphasis on cost control and reduction, revenue drive, cash flows and profit improvement
