About The Course Facilitator

I worked with companies throughout Canada and in the United States by serving in senior financial leadership roles for the past 35 years. My experiences and expertise, shared with many companies, has helped owners, managers, employees and businesses grow. 

 

During the seminar I discuss my experiences in implementing specific techniques, methods and strategies used to help contracting companies increase profits and improve cash flows. I tell stories about good and not-so-good decisions and what we learned from them. You may even have had had similar experiences.

 

I've learned that many companies cannot afford to hire the full-time services of a financial manager, senior accountant or controller. While this is prudent management, the offset is often weak cost controls, late and inaccurate financial reports and cash flow problems.

 

My experience ranges from guiding small, medium and large contractors with annual revenues ranging from $2 million to $50 million.  No matter the size of the company, I showed owners, managers and employees how to best perform, lead, and follow; all the while saving money and time…which led to higher profits.

 

I served as Governor of a National service club, leading 18 executives responsible for 96 clubs and 2700 members. I was elected a life member of the Kinsmen Association for outstanding efforts and leadership in a volunteer role.

 

I was awarded my CMA (Certified Management Accountant) in 1972 and presented my first Profitable Contracting seminar in 2003.
